Rose Marie Kern began her career as an FAA Air Traffic Control specialist in 1983. Over the next 34 years she worked in the Tower, Flight Service and Center options, later moving into the Quality Assurance division of Lockheed Martin.
She has written two books and hundreds of magazine articles and stories about ATC. These pieces embody information pilots need, but some are historical pieces or stories about the seldom seen humorous side of an important profession widely considered to be stressful.
